Cathay Ming Lih Liu

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Yale-NUS College, and for the 2012-2013 academic year I am also a Whitney Humanities Center fellow at Yale.

I specialize in early modern philosophy and the history and philosophy of science.  My other interests include asian philosophy, logic, metaphysics, and epistemology.

Recently, I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing a dissertation on Descartes in which I develop an interpretation of his mathematics and its metaphysical unification with physics.  Click around for information on my research and teaching.
